Wed Eve Paddle at Little York – Sharon and Dave

20 Jul 2011 - Little York, NY
Basic – Class I Water, 5 Miles
Contact: SharonC, paddlebutt@frontier.com,

Please join us for an evening paddle on Little York Lake on Wednesday, July 20th.  This is an easy and leisurely “out and back” paddle around the lake. If water levels permit we will also venture under Interstate 81 into the adjoining Goodale Lake. A hotdog roast will follow the paddle…we’ll supply the dogs, you bring a finger food to share. (ex. Chips, carrots, sliced apples, etc.)

We will initially meet at the eastern side of the parking lot of the Cortland Repertory Theatre at 5:00pm before proceeding to the put-in site. CRT is located in Dwyer Park at the north end of Little York Lake. From the south you might take Interstate 81 to exit 12.  Take ramp right toward Homer.  Turn right onto State Route 281. Go about 5.9mi. Turn right onto Little York Lake Road to the theatre parking lot.  The address for your GPS is Little York Lake, Homer, NY, 13077.  You could also take State Route 38 to 13 to 281(a very straight run with no turns until Little York Lake Road), if you are located on that side of the southern tier.

Please sign-up for this trip by Monday evening (the 18th) so that we have time to gather the supplies needed. Reply to Sharon and Dave Canfield at  paddlebutt@frontier.com
