We are going back to Fish Creek Pond September 10-13 (Thursday-Sunday)! That is same as last year, but you can do less than four days if you wish. We hope to do four trips, one a day, starting on Thursday with a shorter trip on Sunday. The paddle trips we do will depend on weather and who comes, and we will decide the night before what trip we do the next day. We will start trips at 9:15 AM each day, at the site Barb & Jack are at, and there will be a note at the registration booth where we will be by Wednesday night. We will probably do the Rollins Pond loop back to the campground again on Saturday and might do the Bog River Flow, the Raquette River, the Oswegatchie, Osgood Pond to Rainbow, Lower Saranac to Saranac Lake Village or Black Pond and Lower St Regis.

If you have preference for a particular trip you would like to do in the area, include that in your reservation. Or volunteer to lead a trip. We are considering more than one trip for different levels if we have additional leaders. If you choose not to paddle, there are other places to see or do: the Wild Center in Tupper Lake, the Visitor Center near Paul Smiths, Saranac Lake Village, or Lake Placid or hiking up a mountain. Barb and Jack are traveling on Wednesday, September 9th.

Some of us will be going out for meals, others will share meals in a camp site, or cook independently, but that is your choice. Breakfast is on your own, and you will need to pack a lunch each day. Include with your reservation if you want to share meals and what days. If you are willing to coordinate one or more meals, please indicate that when you register, and we will compile a list of who wants to share and email participants. The coordinator, if one volunteers, will get back to you about what to bring.

Fish Creek is not taking advance reservations for most sites, but we would suggest you look at sites 51 to 77, or A01 to A22 on the peninsula when you get there. Sharing sites with other Ahwaga C&K Club members is possible. If you want to do less than four days, that’s ok. Please contact Jack Davis jack@davis18.com or Barb Hall bahall6@juno.com to make a reservation. Please make your reservation by Aug 29th, sooner if you are meal sharing, and if you previously told us you were coming, please do so again. Tell us when you are coming, your ACA #, and your cell phone number if you have them, and other contact information.
