Mike’s Mini Sojourn

It is that time of year again, when I tour the Tioughnioga River from Cortland to Chenango Forks, and then the lower Chenango and a bit of the Susquehanna.  The trips run on seven consecutive Wednesday evenings with a meet time of around 5 PM, and ending before the sun sets (Famous last words).  Best of all, Mike’s Mini Sojourn is free, with ACKC/ACA membership.

This time of year the upper Tioughnioga usually runs quickly, there are strainers on many bends, and good boat control is required for a dry trip.  The first four nights are designed for paddlers that have experience on quick moving water.  The last three can generally be paddled by those who know how to hold and USE their paddles, and know which end of the boat to point downstream.  Below is a list of the trip dates, distances, and sections that we plan to paddle.

If you would like to join us, sign up, and get more information, please write or call.  Sign up is required by 6PM on each Tuesday prior to the trip:
