How to Join

The Ahwaga Canoe and Kayak Club is a Paddle America Club (PAC) affiiliated with the American Canoe Association (ACA). This entitles ACKC members to ACA membership at reduced rates.

ACA is a nationwide, not-for-profit organization that serves the broader paddling public by providing education on matters related to paddling, supporting stewardship of the paddling environment, and enabling programs and events to support paddlesport recreation.

We recommend that ACKC members also join the ACA. This dual membership is not required. However, all ACKC events held on the water are sanctioned and insured by the ACA. Because of this, if you are not an ACA member, you must pay $5 per event to participate in any of our on-water activities.

Membership fees:

  • Ahwaga Canoe and Kayak Club: $15 per year for an individual or family membership.
  • ACA per-event fee: $5
  • ACA full year membership: $30 for an individual or $40 for a family
  • Six- month, one-time ACA trial membership for new  or returning members not  active in the previous year: $15
